My Story

In 2017 my big sister Ruth ran the London marathon in aid of Tutela, this year I will be following in her footsteps.

Tutela is a small charity helping children in Maputo, Mozambique, who've been neglected and families who need support.

In 2017 Tutela had only just begun it's journey whilst Ruth and her husband Sean were living in Maputo with their kids Mikey and Iris. Ruth and Sean came to know the team at Tutela and Ruth, being an enthusiastic believer in improving the lives of the people around her, was determined to help! Alongside friends Michelle and Lesley, Ruth ran the London Marathon and raised vital funds helping Tutela when the charity was still young, bringing them the resources they needed to help children in Maputo.

In January 2020, we unexpectedly lost our wonderful Ruth. The devastating news came as a huge shock to our family and life has never been the same. This year I have the chance to run the marathon in honour of Ruth's memory and raise money for a charity she cared deeply about. This marathon is to support Tutela, to honour Ruth's memory and for Sean, Mikey and Iris.

Thank you for visiting my page. Please donate as much as you feel you can for this small charity helping find families for children who really need it! Please continue to follow my journey as I do my best to make Ruth proud!

I am fundraising for AID International who have provided the London marathon place. They partner with Tutela so all funds raised for my marathon will go directly to the foster care programme in Mozambique.

This second fundraising page is for anyone donating from outside the UK or who would rather donate via a credit card payment. If you have any problems please get in contact with me!

Thank you!
